The app may be free, but the service it is designed to provide access to isn't. it's now 7 months later and Revel for iOS still doesn't display in native resolution for the iPhone 6 Plus. despite moving from their previous sales format of outright ownership of purchased software with annual, paid, updates and upgrades to their perpetual profit machine of exorbitant monthly fees for access to their creative software, you'd think they'd place more emphasis on keeping their software up-to-date. As a matter of fact, today I consider this app a waste of money.Īdobe's monthly fees for access to Creative Cloud and overall weakening of access to, and security of, my workflow by placing everything "in the cloud" is bad enough on its own. If the issue with managing size of the cache files will not be resolved within this year I will not subscribe to these app next year. I cannot use it on either of ours iPhones, as the idea was to move images to this app so I can free up storage on ours iPhones. With 1 GB free space (!) on the device I was getting message there's not enough space to sync images! At this point it resides only on my 128 GB iPad. Yesterday I was trying sync photos and videos on my wife's iPhone so I can delete them from the phone. The app size lingers between 2.5 GB and 7GB now. I had to uninstall the app and then install without syncing. At one point it was taken 15 GB of space on my iPhone. The biggest issue is with the space the app uses for cache on the iOS device. But I was really attracted to the idea that I can store unlimited size videos without worrying that the video is over three minutes long.īut after struggling with this app for a few months I really stopped liking it. So this wasn't the biggest attraction to me. I subscribed to have unlimited space and storage for all my photos and videos.
